It's beginning to look a lot like XMas....

Hey Bloggy

So it snowed here. Like for a billion hours straight. It took me 1 hr and 50 minutes to get to work yesterday so I was 45 minutes late! ahh!! But it was OK because Cozy 101 radio station is playing christmas music already. So it was a fabulous ride!

So yesterday at work we had this huge conference for bilingual educators or teachers who work in bilingual classrooms. So that's why I've been doing tons of spanish translation. And I made friends with Arturo who was in my group of teachers and he only spoke Spanish! It was a great day that went really fast and the weather didn't cause too much of a problem. I love my job, it is amazing. Next week at work is going to be great because we have school groups every day! Plus next week we're having a holiday party....I friggin love holiday parties. AKA food and gifts

So I started a second job, too. I was bored just working 20 hours and we could always use money. So i work at Celestial Seasoings--they make tea. So I'm a tour guide there because we give free tours of the factory. I haven't given a tour yet because I only started this past weekend, but so far the job seems really easy and it pays 8.50/hour so I can't beat that.

Ben, Ashley, and Damon are coming to visit us soooooon and we couldn't be more excited!!!

The Colts are the love of my life. I was devastated when Dallas Clark got injured. I hope he gets better in time for the playoffs. Really I just hope everyone who is injured gets better for the playoffs--Bob Sanders I am speaking to you. I want this to be our year!

Did I mention that Purdue is going to a bowl game and IU is not. It's worth noting, I'm just saying. Been watching some college hoops a lot recently too. IU's game was a nailbiter for sure, and Purdue's was exciting too last night. I hope Purdue beats IU 100 times this season....that's how many times we're playing.

Tuesday Dylan and I both had a day off so we spent the day in Fort Collins. We went to a restaurant called Silver Grill Cafe that one of my co-workers at Celestial Seasonings recommended. They're famous for their cinnamon rolls. Delicious. Then we went to the Ft. Collins Musuem. Which was just a tiny place but had some historic log cabins outside. They had an exhibit about Hobos where there was a model train. And you could make a house out of paper to put in the model train place. so we made a log cabin. And in the windows we drew ourselves. Then Dylan was like "draw Abby." So i was happy because he loves abby and I love abby and in our fake world where the train drives by our cabin every 60 seconds, abby lives with us. So there was one window left and we put Damon in it. It just seemed appropriate. I tried to capture his creepy facial hair too. Then we saw the new Bond movie. I thought it was long and that the new Bond is hideously ugly. And if you don't like Poker, then don't see it, cause damn there's a lot of Poker in that movie.

Today is another day where Dylan and I both have off work. Christmas shopping anyone? Love you bloggy.

And so goes life

Hey Bloggert

Lots to talk about since we last talked.

Want to first talk about the loss of a close Mumford friend Clint Husted. He died this week of a heart attack at 56. He was my dad's riding buddy and they were BFF. And he was so much fun and so nice. Some of you know him and know what I'm talking about. A lot of you met his wife at the PU/IU game chili cookoff. She made the Michigan chili. I really really really wanted Michigan to beat Ohio State because Clint really would have wanted that, but oh well. Sucks that Dylan and I couldn't be there for the service. We sent flowers (michigan colors of course) and a card. But it just sucks soooo badly. When my dad told me I was pretty much devastated/pissed the f*** off because that's just how I get. And those of you who know Dylan's softer side can imagine how hard it was to tell him. I actually felt worse after I told Dylan because he was so sad. We didn't sleep very much at all that night. And you know I just hope Clint knew how great of a person he was because he really seemed to care about me and Dylan whenever we'd hang out with him. We really appreciated that support. And I can't even get started on how Clint's kids must feel.................so this is about all I can type before I lose it totally.

I miss you, Clint.

In other news, CDubs came to visit this weekend and we had a hella good time. He'd never been to CO before so it was awesome to show him around 1) RMNP 2) my work(s)** 3) Longmont for life. The Colts lost, but I'm over it. Purdue won and that's awesome.

**I got a second job Bloggy. We could use the extra money and I was getting pretty bored just working 20 hours a week. So now i'll be working a more normal 35-40. My new job is at Celestial Seasonings, the tea company which is based in Boulder. I'll be a tour guide for the tours they do of the factory. The pay is sweet and I mean I just love giving tours...meteorology degree schmeteorology degree. But unfortunately it means I'll be missing a lot of Colts games. I'll try not to think about it. My coltsies know how i feel about them. Maybe we can tape the games.

This Thursday is Thanksgiving and Dylan and I of course don't have to work (note: i get paid for not working, sexy). We plan on watching a lot of football and I already planned the menu: turkey (although i could only find ground, so kind of lame), sweet potatoes, salad, cranberry sauce. Plus we're having the world famous artichoke dip and the always required sparkling apple cider. Shall be good times.

Today at work I did a lot of Spanish translation. Spanish translation is harder than just writing in spanish. Because when I write something in spanish (and please know I'm talking about when i wrote things in spanish for college), i could just write around whatever the hell i didn't know how to say. But noooowwwwwww, I have to do like what the person wants to say, and it's crazy. But it was fun. This job really combines everything I've ever liked about anything ever: adorable kids from the school groups, adorable old people from the seniors groups, meteorology, climate, mountain view from my desk, spanish, touring.....

Love you guys and come visit soon. Just ask CDubs what an amazing time he had!

<3 Kyle

p.s. tribute for clint put together by another riding buddy. probably not going to mean anything to you if you don't know him....but whatev, it's good, there's sound.

Colorado hates Gays

Hey Bloggert,

Election Day was a major victory for the Dems. Holler. I voted absentee in Indiana which is lame but I mean I missed the CO registration deadline cause I'm a tool. Who knew it was gonna be so huge? Who knew a guy who used the word Macaca could become so close to becoming a senator? There was some sad news to report on Election Day here in what-I-used-to-think-was-perfect-Colorado. There were two items on the ballot regarding homosexual couples. The first one was the amendment to define marriage as blah blah blah we've all heard it a hundred times. And of course that was voted on positively because everyone hates the gays. No surprise there. Then there was a referendum that would allow same-sex couples to have some of the same legal rights as heterosexual couples....not marriage, they could jsut like visit each other in the hospital and other crap like that. Sounds simple, I thought "hell everyone I know in Colorado is more liberal than the entire democratic population of Indiana, surely this will pass." But, alas, no they shot that down too. So yeah, hating gays, quite the lifestyle choice........::fuming anger::

Watched United 93 last night. It is very good, they shot it in real time so it's interesting to see how it all played out. There's something about that image of the planes going into those towers that will always make me cry. So it's definitely a crying movie and it's definitely hard to watch as the people on 93 called their families and told them what was up. Then it got even worse with the bonus features where they interviewed family members. I'm actually tearing up again thinking about it. They said that they wanted their story to be shared, so you all should rent and watch the movie as a service to them.

work was insane today. I love my job. high school kids are crazzzyyyyy

I have an interview Tuesday morning at Celestial Seasonings to be a tour guide...so I will just give tours for the rest of my life. I gave my first tour on Wed. first to 3 different groups of 2nd graders. They were my lovers and I never wanted them to leave. Then on the noon tour only one guy showed up so i took him around. It was lovely.

Dylan's store opened today!! So it's huge. And he's working more overtime than like the president of the united states. I <3 money. I got car insurance with AllState today simply because I like the guy on their commercials because he was in 24.

Ben is sad because in my last entry I didn't mention that him and Ashley are coming to visit. Well they are. In December, and they're visiting Lamo too. I'm going to Key West Dec 30 through the 6th of January!! It's gonna be so sweeeeeeeeeeeeet. No word on whether dylan will be going with me.

Let's see, anything else.....mm probably not....Dylan and I both got big paychecks today so we're pretty stoked about life. I haven't actually seen Dylan in days...lol ok I'm just kidding. Yesterday we both had a day off at the same time (this has never happened before) so i took him to my work and showed him around and then we walked around outside on the trail out back. Then we had the best Sushi ever. Dear CDubs, do you like sushi? cause we want to take you to this place. it's amaaaaaaaaazing. especially because they have happy hour specials on their drinks AND their sushi so we ate like kings and had sake for only $24. yeah put that in your pipe and smoke it.

Love,
Kyline

all you haters should die

Sooooo blogggyyyyy,

The Colts won so everyone in America was wrong. Pretty much everything the announcers said before the game didn't come true. They claimed playmakers like Dominic Rhodes would have to step up and they said that Marvin Harrison isn't the go-to man in these types of situations. Well, they're dumb and from now on I refuse to listen to what they say. They hate the Colts and now they wanna be all like "oh they're the best team in the NFL." I'm just like shut the hell up because 4 minutes ago you wanted to have babies with the Chicago Bears. Anyone who wasn't an idiot could see that they would crash and burn soon....stupid announcers and their stupid stupidheads. Hurrah for the only undefeated team in the NFL.

So I'd like to give a run down of what I saw as the high or low-lights of the game. Anyone reading this who is thinking, goddamn did i click on this link just to hear about the colts should stop reading now and probably should never read my blog again because I have no respect for them. Now then, 1st Cato June had 2 interceptions, it was like the Cato June of 2005, I cried. Did anyone see his dance? It was like country....very odd, but appreciated. When that hot damn little rookie antione bethea got his interception in the endzone I about died. I'm sure I will feel the same way when my first kid graduates High School. little boy all grown up. As we all suspected Vinatieri is still on the Patriots payroll. I already forgive him because at least he's not Mike Vanderjagt. Next, Bob Sanders....ummm holy shit. end of story. Ben Utecht had some amazing catches, I liked when manning was being sacked and utecht was there to get the ball and 5 yards. Harrison's catch in the endzone pretty much changed my entire life. I now believe in miracles. And then he spiked the ball for the first time in his career and it was hilarious. As long as he never does that again, I'll be cool with it. Oh tiny little Harrison badass. I also belive in chumps and Tom Brady is a chump. Also, the ref who called it a first down on that damn 4 and 1 play at midfield. You gotta be kidding me? The refs from this game should be fired because they made the most ridiculous calls against each team. They did help us win the game with some shitty calls, so I do appreciate that, but I mean we didn't need the help, we're amazing.

So now, oh wise announcers who the f is the best quarterback. You all wanted to take Brady because you want him to tuck you in at night so his pretty face can be the last thing you see. Well you know what, you can all have him because Peyton Manning is a god. Best part of the game for me was watching with Dylan, we switched all the patriots first and last times. We called #12 Brad Tommy and we called their star running back Morrence Laroney. It was funny....to people who moved to Colorado and now have no friends who can either confirm or deny that we're motherfucking hilarious.

Other happenings in my life are not nearly as important as the return of Bob Sanders and the continued undefeated season of the Indianapolis Colts. But I do want to say that tomorrow, Nov. 8, I will be doing my first tour at work at 12 PM Mountain Time, so wish me luck. Also I planned an entire new module for a group of 15-18 year olds that are coming in on Friday and I'm really proud of myself. The more I work at my job the more I like it, which is the best feeling in the whole world.

Today is election day and times they are a changing, even here in CO. Holler.

CDubs! woooooo coming to visit! I rearranged my work schedule so I don't have to work at all on the Friday you are here!!!!! yessssssssss Dylan has to go in at like 5:30 AM on that Friday becasue the new PS3 comes out and Best Buy is going to get raped....but we will play with us when he gets off work. :-)

Love you colts!

Welcome to my world!

Hey Bloggy,

I know, don't say it, it's been too long. At least I finally did remember to talk to you about Colorado. I can't sum up everything that's happened since Dylan and I moved here but I'll try to hit the high points.

Dylan got a job at Best Buy as Operation Coordinator which means he's in charge of all the customer representatives. Therefore, if Daniel (Mr. BC) still worked at Best Buy, Dylan would be his boss. Dylan seems to like the job so far but I miss him when he is at work and I am not. I feel that he does not miss me though when I am at work and he is not.

My job is pretty much the greatest job ever. If you think your job is good and you'd like to compare it to mine, then you can go ahead and try. But I bet $1000 that by the end of the competition you will agree that my job is better. And I'm not trying to be mean, it's really just a joke. I'm just trying to say that I love my job and I would probably work 540 hours a week if they'd let me. I need to find another job though because I only work part-time and the bills don't pay themselves :-(

I know some of you (not you bloggy, you're a true friend who understands me 100%) were concerned about how Dylan and I would live together. Well, it's actually pretty good. I mean money is tight and Dylan is completely careless/clueless about housework but we're overcoming these obstacles. I'm glad Katie and Adam warned us about the constant fighting that comes with moving in with your lover-it definitely came true but is now tapering off.

How about some other highlights:
1)Dylan and I were the FIRST friends to visit CDubs in WI. Now CDubs is going to be the FIRST person to come visit us in CO in a couple weeks. He beat you all, you suck. Hope to see you soon. Come to think of it, Dylan and I were also the FIRST to visit Damon in Silverton, CO. We rule at loving our friends.
2) Then Benjamin and Ashley are coming to visit both damon and us in December. Holler for snow.... :-)
3) Darrel called me the other day and it was the most magical time of my life. What a lovely surprise.
4) Tom Coomes got a job in Grand Junction, CO and he is moving out here a week from this Friday! I can't believe it! I'm so happy that we'll get to spend our vacations with him :-)
5) Colts v. Broncos game was awesome. Sure everyone hated us and yelled ridiculous things to us, but it didn't matter cause in the end we won. And they probably felt dumb for chanting Colts Suck since we won....solid.

I can't believe it's November, time flies. Did I mention Colorado rules? Waking up every day to Mountains and Sunshine has really done a number on my attitude on life. Hurrah!

Bloggy, you don't even know how my summer was do you? That's crazy. Essentially it was a lot of boring work and then amazing times at the lake with Tom Coomes.

I miss my family and friends and Paris and Ryan especially a lot.

Talk to you sooner rather than later, I hope.
Kyle
