And so goes life

Hey Bloggert

Lots to talk about since we last talked.

Want to first talk about the loss of a close Mumford friend Clint Husted. He died this week of a heart attack at 56. He was my dad's riding buddy and they were BFF. And he was so much fun and so nice. Some of you know him and know what I'm talking about. A lot of you met his wife at the PU/IU game chili cookoff. She made the Michigan chili. I really really really wanted Michigan to beat Ohio State because Clint really would have wanted that, but oh well. Sucks that Dylan and I couldn't be there for the service. We sent flowers (michigan colors of course) and a card. But it just sucks soooo badly. When my dad told me I was pretty much devastated/pissed the f*** off because that's just how I get. And those of you who know Dylan's softer side can imagine how hard it was to tell him. I actually felt worse after I told Dylan because he was so sad. We didn't sleep very much at all that night. And you know I just hope Clint knew how great of a person he was because he really seemed to care about me and Dylan whenever we'd hang out with him. We really appreciated that support. And I can't even get started on how Clint's kids must feel.................so this is about all I can type before I lose it totally.

I miss you, Clint.

In other news, CDubs came to visit this weekend and we had a hella good time. He'd never been to CO before so it was awesome to show him around 1) RMNP 2) my work(s)** 3) Longmont for life. The Colts lost, but I'm over it. Purdue won and that's awesome.

**I got a second job Bloggy. We could use the extra money and I was getting pretty bored just working 20 hours a week. So now i'll be working a more normal 35-40. My new job is at Celestial Seasonings, the tea company which is based in Boulder. I'll be a tour guide for the tours they do of the factory. The pay is sweet and I mean I just love giving tours...meteorology degree schmeteorology degree. But unfortunately it means I'll be missing a lot of Colts games. I'll try not to think about it. My coltsies know how i feel about them. Maybe we can tape the games.

This Thursday is Thanksgiving and Dylan and I of course don't have to work (note: i get paid for not working, sexy). We plan on watching a lot of football and I already planned the menu: turkey (although i could only find ground, so kind of lame), sweet potatoes, salad, cranberry sauce. Plus we're having the world famous artichoke dip and the always required sparkling apple cider. Shall be good times.

Today at work I did a lot of Spanish translation. Spanish translation is harder than just writing in spanish. Because when I write something in spanish (and please know I'm talking about when i wrote things in spanish for college), i could just write around whatever the hell i didn't know how to say. But noooowwwwwww, I have to do like what the person wants to say, and it's crazy. But it was fun. This job really combines everything I've ever liked about anything ever: adorable kids from the school groups, adorable old people from the seniors groups, meteorology, climate, mountain view from my desk, spanish, touring.....

Love you guys and come visit soon. Just ask CDubs what an amazing time he had!

<3 Kyle

p.s. tribute for clint put together by another riding buddy. probably not going to mean anything to you if you don't know him....but whatev, it's good, there's sound.
