The summer update

Dear Blog,

I know you've just been stuck in Lafayette waiting for me to tell you all about my summer. Well here goes!

Just to preface this story, know that I never got a job over the summer. I never did anything. I didn't volunteer at NWS either. I just chilled. This turned out to be the greatest thing ever because I had the most amazing summer ever. It went really fast though which was a bummer.

Let's explain reasons why this was the best summer ever:

1) I had my 21st birthday on June 10th. It was sooooooo much fun. I really appreciate everyone who came out, even Dylan's friend, Eric. PLUS Jon Wyche was there which just made it even more hilarious. I definitely need to thank BENJAMIN RUSSELL OGREN for making the night so memorable (everyone who's reading this probably knows why).

2)Since I was finally 21 I actually got to go to the bars with my friends. This led to many hilarious stories, some i can't share here. The main one being: Stephen Brody. If you haven't heard this story, call me. It's hilarious. hehehe

3) Three words: Abigail Anne Page. Damn me to hell if I spelled "anne" wrong. I just can't remember right now.

4) To explain 3: Abby and I hung out every single damn day. It was insane! We went to the pool, we watched tv, rented terrible movies (!), hung out with Ellis and Dylan, rode bikes, went to the lake...

5) THE LAKE. I went to the lake more times this summer than I had gone in the last three summers combined. It was a lot of fun. I got to ski in the best shape of my life, so that was just great. Plus all my friends came up at some point or another, adding to the fun.

6) BOULDER, COLORADO. Probably there will be a lot of caps lock in this entry since my summer was so great. In Boulder I met 20 other students who all turned out to be incredible. It's just great to go out into the world, meet a bunch of strangers, and realize that people are great all over the country. I made a lot of connections that I hope to maintain. Of course the big connection was between me and my roommate....we're probably sisters.

7) Three more words: Paris Marie Miller. This is my cousin, Tom's baby. I got to babysit for her a lot (but not enough) this summer. She turned one on August 20th. She is the best baby ever, and I just loved spending time with her. I can't wait til they have their second baby in January...I will then quit school and become their nanny.

8) Did i mention that me and Abby got to spend every day together??!?!!

9) I actually got in shape this summer....AND it might be sticking with me. I am obsessed with riding my bike now. And I actually jogged on a treadmill for the first time in who knows how long. Thanks to mom and dad for buying a treadmill. So I feel great...i think I look OK too.

10) The platinum man triathalon sort of plays off #9. The reason I got in shape was because Abby (who else?) and I came up with an idea to do a triathalon. Now the result is not something I want to discuss here, but I LOVED the idea of it. And I LOVE us for trianing for it.

11) I got to see my sister Jesse twice in one summer. It was awesome. Of course more Jesse time means more extended family time because they all love her to death.

12) Planning trip to Europe with Abby in 2007. This is added encouragement for me to get a good job after graduation (eeee :-O).

13) Yeah and I got to spend time with Dylan, but not too much because he works all the time and Abby is sexier than him anyway.

There were of course a few bad things about summer like being separated from my lovers: Katie, Lisa, and Lara. Also I had to take my wisdom teeth out. I missed all my buddies at Purdue. I just wish Darrel wouldn't have called me so late at night. Made me not miss him so much. Plus Damon refused to play with us except for at the end of the summer ;-). But man did we have a lot of fun.

I'm sad that my last summer ever is over. I'm happy that my last school year ever has begun. I'm happy to be clowning around with all my Purdue buddies.

My next entry will hopefully be an update about school. Expect it in a few days. And expect it to be all about how terrible my life is ;-)

I want to give a shout out to Emily (my roommate from Boulder, of course) because I just got off the phone with her and I cannot hardly wait until September 9th when i get to see her again!!!!!!!! We should have fun.

Ok Love you bloggy, hope this is enough.

Kyline
